Abstract

Material and Method: For the current study, a document analysis technique was used, and a search was made using the keywords "emotional intelligence" and "sports" within the Topic scope of the Web of Science database. 661 studies published between 2002 and 2024 were accessed. The resulting publications were analyzed in the VOSviewer program.

Results: It has been determined that the historical process in the researched field started in 2002, until today, most studies have been done in Spain, and the most used keyword is "emotional intelligence".

Conclusion: This study was conducted using the bibliometric analysis technique; As a result of reaching parameters such as the most published authors, countries, and selected keywords on the subject of "sports and emotional intelligence", a direction map was created for the processes in which the existing concepts will be examined.
